3 New Features in Microsoft Dynamics GP

Microsoft Dynamics GP, an on-premise ERP solution, has had a few updates to the software. While Microsoft has announced that they will not make new sales of the solution starting in April 2026, they have confirmed that they will stay committed to current users. In this blog, we will discuss a few of the new updates to GP that will improve the system’s usability and more.
Print Cash Receipts
Your business now has the availability to print cash receipts from either the Cash Receipts Entry or the Receivables Transactions Navigation Lists. Once you enter a cash receipt transaction, this will allow you to either print the form or email it straight to your client. This update is sure to add ease to your interactions with clients.
Inactivate Vendor Address ID
You can now mark a vendor address ID as inactive in order to maintain accurate reporting. By marking an address as inactive, you will be alerted before posting active lists that include the address. While you have the option to continue to use the address, this new feature will ensure that you avoid unnecessary mistakes.
Checkbook Balance Enhancements
The checkbook feature has been reconfigured to improve its usability. Previously, users selected the checkbook, and the window filled in with information. Following the update, you can now complete all the heading information on the window and redisplay the information. This feature was added to help you find information faster by allowing you to filter the data instantly. It is important to note that this feature, among several others, was added based on customer requests and feedback. Microsoft reviews customer suggestions in order to improve the software and customer experience.
