The Client
The client is a distribution company that specializes in chemical and industrial product distribution across several industries.
Opportunity
The company was previously using Quickbooks as their accounting system. Microsoft Business Central provided them with a higher level of functionality. The company was looking for a cloud-based ERP that would provide more support than Quickbooks. Additionally, the interface of Business Central was familiar to their users, making the switch easier and more efficient.
Solution
After meeting with the client and performing an assessment, Logan Consulting found places for improvements that would help the client become more efficient. Logan determined what the client was doing in Quickbooks and what they wanted to do in the future with Business Central. Through Logan’s methodology, Logan Consulting and the client were able to implement key components. Some key components included improvements to their purchasing and invoicing processes.
The Results
Switching from Quickbooks to Business Central allowed the business to move from an on-premises to a cloud-based ERP. This switch reduced the expensive infrastructure cost that comes with on-premises solutions. Additionally, the client improved the functionality of their business, as they are now able to access the solution from any device that has network connectivity. The switch enabled a smooth billing process for the client. Now fully trained on Business Central, the client has been able to improve their overall efficiency and effectiveness in their processes.
