Dynamics 365: Release Enhancements Plan September 2022

The 2022 release wave plan for Dynamics 365 brings new innovations that provide you with significant capabilities to transform your business. This month’s release contains the following exciting new features in Dynamics 365 for Finance & Supply Chain Management for these apps: Finance, Supply Chain Management, Guides, and Project Operations.
Dynamics 365 Finance drives automation and predictive analytics capabilities.
- New Feature: Enhance vendor invoice data entity for OCR integration
- Business Value: aims at solving major issues and making it easier to consume invoice data
- Details: creates vendor invoices as a whole instead of using different data entities to create pieces of information one by one, such as headers, lines, taxes, and charges.

Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management obtains a unified view of inventory, warehouse, manufacturing, service, and logistics with predictive analytics.
- New Feature: Inventory Visibility on-hand query to support advanced warehouse management items
- Business Value: calculates WHS-enabled items correctly, regardless of which hierarchical level the items are stored in
- Details: supports on-hand quantity queries for WHS-enabled items, regardless of whether each item has WHS-specific reservation operations (such as being reserved for WHS work at the WMS location level)

- New Feature: Planning Optimization support for resource scheduling with finite capacity

- Business Value: improves planner efficiency at manufacturing companies by automatically applying filters to include all required supply and demand in a multilevel production structure
