An Overview of 2022 Release Wave 1 for Business Central Users

With 2022 almost a quarter of the way through, Microsoft is gearing up for the full release of wave 1 for their Dynamics 365 applications. The release will be available to the general public on April 1, 2022. 

Today, we are going to go over some of the things that Business Central users can expect when the update launches. 

Overview

Microsoft is focusing on providing small and midsized organizations with a solution that can bring them long-term growth and efficiency. The main components of the wave 1 release are centered on providing a more productive software that has more built-in Help capabilities as well as better navigation in the application. Here are some of the key features:

  • Application: Microsoft has improved the capabilities of the finance and supply chain tools by optimizing various processes in order to improve productivity.
  • Collaboration: Microsoft has improved the collaborative aspect of Business Central through the integration of Microsoft Teams as well as Excel and Outlook. 
  • Power Platform: The Power Automate capabilities have been enhanced in order to make customization for users more effective.

Business Central users can expect a more seamless service with this new release so that they will be set up for success for the rest of 2022.
