Microsoft recently revealed to the public the various features and updates users can expect to see with the roll out of 2022 release wave 2. The second of Microsoft’s two annual releases will become available beginning in October 2022 until March 2023.
Business Central received an array of updates to enhance the user experience, including a more efficient system for bank reconciliation regarding checks as well as better reporting.
Feature Details
Because bank reconciliation is a prominent part of any business, ensuring that the task is done efficiently with minimal room for error is crucial.
Business Central now matches check entries from the bank using information found in the check ledger, leading to a more accurate matching process.
Users are also now able to see the balance of the real G/L account at the statement ending balance date when generating a test report. This allows for greater visibility in regards to direct postings on the G/L account, minimizing errors in bank reconciliation.
Moreover, the Bank Statement report now shows what payments were outstanding when a bank reconciliation was posted.
