Industry functionality – manufacturing

Why Switch to Dynamics 365?

There are several new features in Dynamics 365 (D365) that will upgrade your experience from Dynamics AX:

  • Book workers as resources on projects- When you set up a worker as a project resource, you can select from workers who work in the company that you’re setting up resources for. Alternatively, you can select workers from other companies in your organization. These workers are known as intercompany resources.
  • Human resources management- Dynamics 365 Human Resources provides the workforce insights you need to build data-driven employee experiences across multiple areas.
  • Manager self service- Employee and manager self-service allows employees and managers to view and maintain their own information or information for their direct and extended reports.
  • Asset management- Asset Management is a module for managing assets and maintenance jobs in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management. Asset Management enables you to efficiently manage and carry out tasks related to managing and servicing many types of equipment in your company, for example, machines, production equipment, and vehicles.
  • Near real time demand planning- Planning optimization will remove the load of master planning from their ERP system and provide a constantly updated dynamic plan that will give them close to real-time insight to requirement changes and potentially enable them to achieve savings by reduction of the total lead time, as new demands are detected and managed earlier.
