Dynamics 365 – Master Planning Release Notes

Microsoft’s latest release came with a feature related to parallel firming of planned orders in MRP.
From Microsoft’s release notes:
“This feature allows parallel firming of planned orders from the planned orders form. The intent of this feature is to increase performance when a high number of planned orders are being firmed. When firming multiple planned orders, the user can select the parallelize firming option and specify the number of threads in the firming dialog”
The flag will show up when users select the “firm all button” from Planned orders. At this point I have not run time studies for different threads, but I would suggest a conversation with your system administrator to select a thread number, and test in your environment.
