QAD’s Reporting Framework (QRF) is a very useful tool for formatting customer-facing documents such as Invoices and Sales Order Acknowledgments with less of a need for Progress programming skills than may have been needed to customize and format these documents in prior versions of QAD with no QRF.

In a number of recent implementations of QAD EE, Logan Consulting worked with its clients to implement the following:

  1. QRF Invoice and Sales Order Print (Sales Order Acknowledgement) changes catered to different language, terms, and country specific requirements
  2. QRF Email bursting to automatically email Invoices and Sales Order Acknowledgements directly to the customer based on master data setup on the customer business relation record
  3. QAD master data setup to allow the invoice and multiple other forms to be emailed to multiple business relation contacts.

QRF enabled the type of automation that truly made a difference in terms of time required for manage customer invoices and other customer facing documents.
