Microsoft Dynamics GP October 2021 Release

Posted on: October 7, 2021 | By: Rosie Gill | Microsoft Dynamics GP

Microsoft is gearing up for its newest update release of Dynamics GP, and they have listened to users’ feedback on what changes should be made to the system. The three main areas of focus as a result of these consumer requests are:

  • Ease of Use
  • Customer Requests
  • Extended Functionality

It is important to note that along with this new release, Microsoft also revealed the new lifecycle for Dynamics GP in July of this year. The updated Modern Lifecycle Policy is a transition away from Microsoft’s Fixed Lifecycle Policy that was previously in place for Dynamics GP. With the new policy, Microsoft will offer users continuous support and servicing. This lifecycle is in place until 2028 and beyond. Users of Dynamics GP version 18.2 and later fall under this modern lifecycle. If you have an older version of GP, you must update to a compatible version in order to benefit from the new features being released this October.

In our upcoming blog posts, we are going to give detailed overviews of the three areas of focus in preparation for the new update, so stay tuned!
