ERP Cutover – Review Master Data Change and Addition Forms

Posted on: June 2, 2018 | By: Tim Lovely | QAD Financials, QAD Manufacturing, QAD Business Process, QAD Distribution

A small but often missed item as part of a new ERP implementation is reviewing any forms that are needed to manage new additions or changes for key master data such as Suppliers, Customers, and Customer Ship-to’s. Companies often use internal web portal forms, Microsoft Excel forms or Microsoft Word Documents to take requests and manage the approval process for these changes or additions.

New ERP systems often require additional data to support Master Data that was not required in the Legacy system. As part of the implementation, these forms should be reviewed to see if additional fields or data elements need to be added to support the cutover to the new ERP system.

This small task may be forgotten as part of the implementation, but it can save some post-cutover follow-up that could be managed ahead of time.
