Changes with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and Management Reporter

• Management Reporter is the recommended financial reporting solution for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.  There is a document titled Financial Reporting in Microsoft Dynamics AX with Management Reporter for Microsoft Dynamics ERP that has been published on CustomerSource. This is intended to help you understand the direction financial reporting is going so you can begin to learn about and use Management Reporter.
• In 6.2 CU6, new menu items will be added to launch Management Reporter from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. This will be the default setting. Here is a blog to quickly learn more about the changes.
• In 6.0/6.1 CU5 and with the hotfix in AX 6.2 users will now see a Management Reporter fast tab on the account and account template set up. This will enable them to do the appropriate setup for currency translation in Management Reporter RU6, scheduled in July. We recommend that customers set this up now so they are ready to go in July for reporting purposes.
