We are here at the QAD Midwest User Group Meeting in Dearborn, MI. There is a good turnout and there is cautious optimism in the air. Most client’s North American business is strong right now, but there is some concern about softness in Europe. Feedback from the attendees suggest the big areas of interest are upgrading their QAD environments and determining if it is worth the investment to upgrade to Enterprise Edition (“EE”) versus Standard Edition (“SE”). The other big topic continues to be the leveraging of the .Net UI interface that enables users to get the kinds of views they require quickly. After the tough economic times of the past few years, a lot of the attendees are focused on making sure any projects give a return quickly.
