QAD EE Upgrade and Implementation Planning during Covid-19

With most companies facing severe tactical and strategic adjustments due to the Covid-19 virus, the majority of our clients are finding creative ways to keep important projects moving forward. On the surface the greatest impact of this difficult period on projects is potential reduced spending, having most of not all team members and consultants working remotely, and limited or stopped travel inhibiting important face-to-face meeting time for team members.

For other clients not currently involved with ongoing project work, Logan Consulting continues to emphasize to its network the ability to use this period to effectively plan for their QAD EE upgrade or implementation so when we do come out the other side of this, they are more fully prepared for the project. This planning usually can be done with limited investment.

As we posted in December 2019, this year is still a great time to evaluate the many benefits of moving to QAD’s Enterprise Edition and Adaptive ERP. QAD has made many improvements over the years to its software including most recently its Adaptive User Interface/Experience and portfolio of cloud-based applications. The most effective implementations of QAD solutions result from a through Scoping and Planning effort resulting in the following key deliverables which form the basis of a project and support the implementation:

1. Resource Matrix
2. Detailed Project Plan
3. Project Charter
4. Project Cost Plan
5. Project Future State Applications Map

Once complete and approved by the Steering Committee, these foundational documents help drive success for an implementation of QAD Enterprise Edition!
