On-Premise, Hosted or Cloud – Is Cloud Deployment Right for Your Company?

You’ve chosen your ERP system and now you must choose something equally as important: your deployment option. When it comes to deployment, you have three main options: On-Premise, Hosted or in the Cloud. In part three of our blog series “On-Premise, Hosted or Cloud – What Works Best for Your Company?” we will explore why deployment in the cloud may suit your business best.

When you choose to deploy in the cloud (also known as Saas) your software is licensed on a subscription basis and is centrally hosted. Software held on the cloud is made available over a network, typically the internet. Some of the key qualities of cloud deployment include:

Easy Accessibility: With cloud deployment, software is accessed over a network which is typically a web browser. This means that you can access your network via tablets, desktops, and mobile devices.

Upgrades Included: Software is centrally hosted which means that upgrades are added automatically through whichever vendor you choose.

Reduced Amount of IT Needs:  With cloud deployment your software is maintained through a vendor on a centrally located network, greatly reducing your need for IT support.

Do these qualities seem to be a great match for your company? If so, deployment in the cloud may be the right choice for you.
