GP2013 / GP2015 – 1099 Forms not Quite Aligned

Posted on: January 25, 2016 | By: Craig Thompson | Microsoft Dynamics GP

A little known feature for printing 1099 on preprinted forms is the alignment capability during forms printing.

Print 1099s as normal. Print them to the screen for preview.

Then select print again, to select your printer.

STOP. Notice the extra tab? Preprinted Form Options.

After selecting the tab, there are alignment capabilities to better fit the form with whatever printer is being selected.  Negative values move print up and to the left, while positive values move the print down and to the right.

It might take a few pages of blank paper as trial and error. Keep making small changes, until the print hits the boxes. For users still using GP2010, the alignment is right on the face of the Print screen.
