Error Resolution in Microsoft Dynamics GP (Fall 2020)

In early September, Microsoft rolled out an Office Security Update that resulted in the loss of Microsoft Word functionality (outputting documents, reports, and forms) for all Dynamics GP users. The error “Word experienced an error trying to open the file…” is a known issue for users of Microsoft Dynamics GP attempting to print to a Microsoft Word destination.

Dynamics GP2018.3 (GP 2021) – Unresolved Update Issues
In addition to the above Microsoft Word error updates, users with the Dynamics GP 18.3 update may have come across the following update issues.
Mekorma Payment Hub
Mekorma Payment Hub will not be compatible with Dynamics GP 2018.3 until Mekorma releases their product update. Mekorma has stated that this update will be available on December 1, 2020.
Historical Inventory Trial Balance (HITB) Report
GP Report Writer HITB report is currently producing the below SQL error. Microsoft is aware of the error and is currently working to resolve the issue.
