Transitioning your ERP software to the cloud sounds like an easy switch, but, there are a few important steps to take before diving right into the cloud. In order to smoothly transition to the cloud, your organization must be fully aware of the transition that is about to take place. While transitioning your ERP to the cloud, it is important to make security a priority. Continue to make sure your organization knows that on-premises solutions do not work the same as cloud solutions and anticipate the change that will be taking place when you migrate to the cloud. 1. Don’t Forget Security
The last thing your organization needs is a data breach during or after your transition to cloud ERP. Security should always be a top priority when implementing a cloud ERP from an on-premises solution. When implementing a cloud ERP or CRM, Business Recovery (BR) and Disaster Management (DM) processes should be fully reviewed.
2. Be Prepared for the Change
A cloud ERP implementation is not the same as an on-premises implementation. The IT team in charge of the transition needs to prepare for the implementation to make it as smooth as possible. If done correctly, there can be many benefits to having a cloud ERP or CRM system. 3. Plan Ahead
Preparing employees and management for the shift from on-premises to the cloud is vital for a successful implementation.
