Recapping DynamicsCon 2025 and Looking Ahead to the Summit Roadshow in Chicago
Posted on: May 19, 2025 | By: Maya VanderWoude | Microsoft Dynamics AX/365, Microsoft Dynamics Manufacturing
Last week, our team had the opportunity to attend DynamicsCon 2025, held May 13–16, and it delivered another strong showing of product insights, peer connection, and real-world strategy for organizations leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365. While AI continues to dominate headlines, this year’s event also brought renewed focus on core ERP capabilities across finance, supply chain, and manufacturing — and offered a glimpse into how customers are adapting to rapid product evolution.
DynamicsCon 2025: Key Takeaways
One of the standout themes was quality management in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management. New native capabilities — such as enhanced traceability and corrective action workflows — are filling long-standing functionality gaps, especially for industries like life sciences and regulated manufacturing. When implemented properly, these enhancements could significantly streamline compliance efforts for organizations.
We also heard consistent interest in Copilot Agents and automation, particularly around supplier communications. Rather than relying solely on legacy portals, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance is moving toward more intelligent interactions — where agents can handle vendor coordination directly, potentially reducing manual workload and improving responsiveness.
The momentum around AI also brought thoughtful reflections on architecture, creativity, and user adoption. Whether enabling Copilot for smarter reporting, or embedding capabilities within Teams for broader accessibility, the message was clear: AI is not a future concept — it’s here now, and businesses need a thoughtful, people-first approach to adopt it effectively.
