Implementing any new software into your company can be tough, especially when employees have gotten used to their old way of doing business. This “we've always done things this way” mentality, while very determined, can sometimes get in the way of the progress that a new ERP system like QAD can bring for your company. In order to have a successful implementation, it's important to make sure that your whole team is on board. It's beneficial to pick one leader from each department to get a wide variety of opinions from those who will be using this software as a part of their daily routine.
  2. Show the Benefits: Just like anything else, if you want to get someone excited about an idea you have to portray the excitement yourself. Make sure when discussing this new software with your team members that you are actively praising the new benefits to come so that they can see a future with your potential new software as well.
  3. Set Goals: In order to reap the benefits of this new software it's important to set well-defined and measurable goals to track your businesses success. Set a timeline and watch your company's progress unfold before your very eyes.
  4. Training: Invest in your team and find the right training program for your company and software. When employees are confident in their skills, they are more likely to trust the software. Training can be expensive, however investing in your team will help them understand just how important the upgrade is and how it will affect their day to day activities.
