QAD’s ERP software provides several reporting tools.   Those tools include data views and browses, reporting framework reports and financial reporting tools. The Financial Report Writer (FRW) features a wide range of functionality.

Near Real Time Reporting :

As financial transactions are posted to the general ledger, a background process runs to refresh the FRW data set.  This enables FRW reports to have hourly and daily views of the financial results.

Cross Domain Reporting:

Your business may require multiple domains to support global operations.   The domains can share common charts of accounts (COA) or disparate charts of accounts.   The domains will have different general ledger base currencies. The FRW tool allows for cross domain reporting in a presentation currency.   For disparate COA environments, a COA Cross reference provide financial results in a consolidation COA along with a consolidation currency.  The resulting reports can be considered a financial consolidated view of results.

Budget to Actual Reporting:

Annual Business Plans and Quarterly Financial Forecasts can be recorded in QAD ERP and used within the FRW.  These budgets can be loaded at the financial statement level or at the account string level. Those budget records can then be levered to reports those budget plans against actual results.

FRW reporting is the core centerpiece financial reporting tool inside your QAD ERP.
