Workflow Approval Count in Dynamics GP
Posted on: December 22, 2021 | By: Jim Bertler | Microsoft Dynamics GP
Microsoft came out with a bunch of new features in their October release for Dynamics GP, and we have discussed many of these in previous GP posts. Today, we are going to look at the updated Workflow Step setup in GP.
Previously, there were only three options users could choose from when dealing with ‘Completion Policy:’ only one response needed, majority must approve, or all must approve. Microsoft has modified this list to now include ‘Number of approvers.’ This added option allows users to specify the desired number of total specified approvers required to approve the workflow at the designated stage so that it can continue on to the next step in the workflow.
This exciting new feature gives users the ability to create unique, specific workflows for the appropriate workflow. Users do not have to worry about receiving a specific percentage of approvals like they would for a majority, nor do they have to limit the number of approvers to just one person. With this fourth option, they can enable a large number of users the power to approve workflows while requiring a desired number, increasing both visibility and efficiency for users in the system.
