Microsoft Announces Dynamics 365 Marketing Functionality and Pricing

Posted on: September 7, 2018 | By: Jim Bertler | Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Microsoft recently announced the release of their Dynamics 365 Marketing solution.  The solution is much anticipated and much needed in the Microsoft Customer Relationship Management (CRM) space.  As always there is too much to cover in one post, but let’s get to the highlights.

What is It

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing is a marketing automation solution from Microsoft. It can be used as a standalone solution or in combination with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales.  The major items of functionality are email marketing, nurture campaigns, landing pages, Linked In integration, events (with registration portals) and lead scoring.  We could write an entire blog on each piece of functionality but suffice to say it is a complete marketing automation solution from Microsoft that allows you to track interactions with customers, prospects, contacts and leads from start to finish.

You can read more about the details from the link below

Pricing

The pricing plan Microsoft chose is interesting.  The price is based on the number of contacts in your system. If you want to use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing as a stand-alone solution the pricing is $1,500 for the base package with 10,000 contacts. You can add more contacts for $250/month for 5,000 contacts.

If you already license Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement the Dynamics 365 Marketing is $750/month for 20,000 contacts. Additional contacts cost $600 for 8,000 and $250 for each additional 5,000. If you already license Dynamics 365 Sales the cost is $750/month for 10,000 contacts and $250/month for each additional 5,000 contacts.

The pricing is not at all affected by the number of emails you send to contacts or leads.

I know this can be a little confusing so feel free to contact Logan Consulting to discuss in detail.

What it Means

The bottom line of all of this is that you can now use native functionality in Microsoft Dynamics 365 to manage the marketing and marketing automation of your business.  We will get into specifics moving forward, but we are excited about this release from Microsoft.
