Logan Consulting Speaking at the Spring MWUG Conference

Logan Consulting is a proud supporter of the Midwest User Group, the largest independent group for QAD’s manufacturing and Enterprise Application software. The MWUG conference, held each spring and fall, provides an environment for QAD vendors, service providers, and users to share and exchange information.

 


Last year’s fall conference brought over 300 attendees from the QAD community covering 5 industries. You won't want to miss out on the first event of 2018! The upcoming MWUG Conference will be held March 19th and 20th at The Westin Lombard Yorktown Center in Lombard, IL. Logan Consulting will be leading 3 conference sessions centered on EE Financial Customizations, Deploying Segregation of Duties (SOD) Along With Role-Based Security to Ensure SOX Compliance, and SE to EE Upgrade. See below for details on our sessions.

Session 1: EE Financial Customizations: A Brief ‘How To’

Speaker: James Blankenship, PrincipalMWUG

This session will focus on how to use the financial API’s in EE and will cover the following topics:

  • How to add a custom field 

  • How to add validation to this field 

  • How to extract/query data from the financial tables

     

Session 2: Deploying Segregation of Duties (SOD) Along With Role-Based Security to Ensure SOX ComplianceMWUG

Speaker: Andy Vitullo, Principal

This session will discuss business and key configuration requirements as well as deployment recommendations for SOD functionality within QAD. Additionally, this session will discuss the SOD conflict matrix, SOD conflict exceptions and SOD mitigating controls that will be required based on your organizational resource mix.


Session 3: Customer Case Study: SE to EE Upgrade

Speaker: Bill Foard, Inventus Power, Client & Brian Clark, PrincipalMWUG

Inventus Power recently completed a project to replace all existing QAD 2011SE functionality with the comparable functions in QAD 2016EE. The scope involved a re-design and re-implementation of financial functionality and supporting master data. Non-financial processes were implemented as close to ‘as is’ as possible. The project was completed on time and on budget and the company now has a core model it can leverage for other sites/locations. This session summarizing the upgrade project, including key activities and lessons learned.
