Posted on: September 28, 2016 | By: Craig Thompson | Microsoft Dynamics CRM

We all know that having an effective CRM system works wonders for customer service and maintaining streamlined internal business activities, however with the new CRM 2016 update you may find yourself wondering if there are any more effective tricks to simplify business operations. Luckily, the partners at Logan Consulting put together this short video to begin to answer some of your most sought after questions. Watch “3 CRM System Setting Tricks in 3 Minutes” below and start to uncover all that CRM 2016 can do for your business or, begin to learn more ways to make the everyday user’s experience easier.

AutoSave

As a rule of thumb, AutoSave is automatically set up on all Microsoft CRM systems to enhance the user experience and give users a little peace of mind. However sometimes AutoSave makes it easier for mistakes to accidentally save in your system or duplicate records to be created. By turning off this feature it forces users to intentionally save their work so that you can be certain that what is entered into the system is the data that was intended.

Enable Bing Maps

Keeping track of addresses is a valuable part of Microsoft CRM that allows users to keep track of their contacts locations and mailing addresses. This field is very important for many CRM activities, and one useful settings trick that CRM 2016 allows us to enable is the display of your address on Bing Maps, right on your screen. This is very useful if you are looking to see a visual of where your account, contact or lead is located in relation to your business.

Global Search

The Global search is a great tool to simplify operations in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 and allows users to automatically look for any account in the system. All results for accounts, clients, contacts, etc. can be found in a singular search, however in this features default setting, there are only a few options visible to your users. By going to settings, you are able to customize your global search module to include frequently searched fields, eliminate the categories you don’t use often or even add more to your global search screen.

While these are certainly not all of the useful features that CRM 2016 has to offer, it should begin to get you maximizing your results when using the software. Stay tuned for more tutorial videos and blog posts regarding this update and as always, if you find yourself with questions regarding Microsoft CRM, don’t hesitate to contact Logan Consulting your Chicago based Microsoft Partner for more information.
