What is Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales Business Edition

Posted on: August 22, 2017 | By: Jim Bertler | Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a name that is getting used a lot these days.  But what really is included with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and what needs does it serve?  And if you are on the sales and marketing side of the business “What is Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales, Business Edition?”

Other than a really long name Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales, Business Edition or D365 for Sales, Business is in large part the original Microsoft CRM Online. However…. and this is a big however Microsoft has really improved and invested in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales Business Edition

You can really start to see that Microsoft is driving the D365 Sales, Business Edition to the small to middle market user for sales and marketing.  Leads, Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Activities, Marketing Lists, etc. are all expected to be part of the Business Edition when it is released in a few months (It is in public preview now).  The pricing is still yet to be released, but I would expect Microsoft to target this at an entry level price around $40 to $65 per user per month.

The other two major pieces of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales Business Edition are mobile and the Outlook app. Microsoft has tried for several years to improve the mobile experience and the Outlook integration and I really think they are there now. One click will let you add a contact who get an email from to D365.  Some great insight on D365 Sales, Business Edition are at this link
