Questions to ask before selecting a new ERP system

Welcome to our series, “Questions manufacturers need to ask before selecting a new ERP System”. This week we are focusing on these 2 questions which will help manufacturers choose the most valuable ERP system. Who will have the final say during the project? Where would you like your ERP system deployed?

Who will have the final say during the project?

No matter how well everyone works together there will be disputes. Often times different departments want what is best for them regardless of the downstream effect. When disputes arise who will make the final call? Will you take issues all the way to an executive board or owner? Having a defined Steering Committee in advanced will ensure conflicts can be resolved.

Where would you like your ERP system deployed?

On-Premises, Cloud or Private Cloud? We could probably write an entire new e-book on the cloud, but how the solution will be deployed is critical. Some companies only want cloud solutions and others have no interest in the cloud. If you do deploy to the cloud do you have good communication infrastructure (think internet access) to make it work?

These are two questions Logan Consulting believes manufacturers need to ask before selecting an ERP system.
