Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Service Pack 1 Release Date

Posted on: April 4, 2013 | By: Jim Bertler | Uncategorized

Microsoft has identified Mid-April for the first service pack release for Microsoft Dynamics GP.  We have found many clients like to wait for the first service pack to be released before upgrading so with Mid-April right around the corner it is time to start planning that Microsoft Dynamics GP upgrade.  There has not been any word yet on potential new functionality in the service pack, but as soon as we hear something we will update this blog.

Microsoft has said to expect service updates about every 3 to 6 months with a major R2 release to come about 18 months after the initial release.  We have found that this release schedule works well for clients and allows them to take advantage of new functionality as it is available, but not get forced into an untimely upgrade.

Many times we find clients use the upgrade as a good opportunity to review their use of the system and improve system and business processes.  If you are planning a Microsoft Dynamics GP upgrade and want to review your situation with us please feel free to contact us.
