One key element of Acumatica for manufacturers is the incredible manufacturing solution, JAMS. that is embedded directly into the software. Yet,  if your a manufacturer who is unaware of what JAMS is, this statement most likely means very little to you. JAMS (which stands for JAAS Advanced Manufacturing Software) is a manufacturing management tool that provides real-time coordination of all of your business activities in one central place. With JAMS, manufacturers receive three core modules:

Bill of Material/Routing

The bill of material/routing aspect of JAMS provides users both engineering and financial views of product structure. Some aspects of this module include:

Integrated BOM/Routing: Directly connect materials, work instructions and overhead costs to an operation.

Revision Control: Save and view multiple past and future revisions.

Multiple Costing Methods: Allow for average, standard and actual costing methods.

Material Requirements Planning

With material requirements planning you are able to satisfy customer requirements while maintaining optimal inventory levels. Some aspects of this module include:

MRP Display: See exactly what needs to be purchased and/or produced.

Sales Forecasts: Access to sales forecasts that can be generated using past history or entered manually.

Production Management

With the production management module, organizations can track material and labor costs and schedule productions on the shop floor. Aspects of this module include:

Order tracking: Captures total manufacturing costs for a production order.

Critical Materials: Alerts you when quantities are short for a specific order.

Labor Tracking: Apply direct production labor to specific production orders by employee.

These are just a few of the many great features that JAMS has to offer manufacturers. With seamless integration into Acumatica's platform no extra work or purchases are necessary.
