Brent’s presentation at AcuCONNECT 24 delivered a wealth of valuable insights, covering the latest trends, technologies, and strategies shaping the industry. Let’s dive into the key highlights and lessons from his session.

Brent’s Presentation Recap:
During AcuCONNECT 2024, I presented about the topic of CRM in Acumatica. I specifically covered the sales part of CRM, which includes Lead and Contact management, Activity and Task management, and Opportunity and Quote Management.
The first topic was covering the setup for accounts, contacts, leads, and opportunities. Each of those objects has a class code to set up. These class codes allow users to group accounts, contacts, leads, and opportunities based on specific characteristics. They help quickly and effectively manage the sales process. Other setup topics that were covered include Duplicate Validation, Lead and Opportunity Assignment Maps, and the Acumatica Outlook Add-In.
After reviewing the setup, I did a demo of the lifecycle of a lead all the way through a sales/project quote. I started with a lead that was associated with a specific contact and account. I added some activities to that lead before qualifying the lead and converting it to an opportunity. Then, I ran the assignment map to assign an owner to the new opportunity. After opening the opportunity and recording a couple of activities, I updated the stage to QUALIFICATION. From the opportunity, I showed how to create both a sales quote and a project quote. I then showed how to submit a quote for approval. Once approved, the quote was emailed/printed. The final step was to close the quote and the opportunity before converting the quote to an order/project.
