What You Missed at Acumatica Summit: Day 2

At the end of last month, Acumatica wrapped up their 2025 Acumatica Summit. The Summit was three jam-packed days full of networking opportunities, keynote speakers, and info sessions.

If you missed the summit, don’t worry! In this blog, we will cover the first half of the top highlights that you missed during Day Two’s Keynote Speech. Click here for a rundown of the first keynote speech.

AI in Acumatica

Miten Mehta, Acumatica’s chief engineering officer, came back out in Keynote #2 to talk about further advances that AI within Acumatica has made within the last year. With Acumatica’s AI assistant, you can ask questions about the status of your product to stay on top of your inventory. Mehta demonstrated asking AI “What is the earliest date we can ship the products on this order?” The assistant responded that some of the items are out of stock, producing a new shipping date. The AI also comes up with two action buttons, allowing you to update the “Requested On” date to the order, or to draft an email to the customer to let them know about the date.

Acumatica Data Safety

Following the AI conversation, CIO Jeff Smith came out to talk about what Acumatica is implementing to ensure that your data is kept safe. For example, with each new update to AI, there are strict security checks and measures. AI is utilized within Acumatica to monitor health metrics and key performance indicators to ensure that service delivery is optimized. For example, the ERP runs predictive analytics anticipate future problems before they can occur. Additionally, Smith announced a new feature: service resilience using maintenance automation. Acumatica plans to minimize customer impact by having AI check customizations for known errors. They also will identify maintenance windows and execute these updates.

What’s New in Distribution?

Next, various Acumatica leaders came out to announce the newest features to the ERP with Acumatica’s Release Wave 1. Within Distribution, there are several new developments that were touched on. To start, if your company is expanding into both B2B and direct consumer business, you will need to manage different catalogs for your retail customers and your wholesale customers. Now, with Acumatica and Shopify, you can easily manage these within your ERP. To configure the same website to a different presentation for wholesale and retail customers, you can use Acumatica’s standard sale price sheets. You can configure these sheets for each customer using different customer price classes.

Companies that sell unique products need to stay on top of the individual information of each of their products. In Acumatica’s 25 R1, you now have lot and serial number attributes. This allows you to stay on top of each of these items. During the receiving process, once you record the serial number within the ERP, you can enter in specific item information, like quality, warranty expiration, and more. Then, once received, under lot and serial number detailed profile, you can enter in even more information, including a detailed description, photos, and set prices. Your sales people will now be able to sort product information by these filters to find an item that best fits your customers needs.

Newest Updates to Manufacturing

With Acumatica 2025 R1, you will be able to look at the home screen of your production orders and quickly scan to see which orders are ready, and which are still in progress. With the side panel, you can see which items are short so that you can take immediate action.

The updated Production Schedule board allows you to see all of your dependencies within a single screen. Now, the full production order will range the dates of your calendar from start to finish. You can see all unscheduled items as well.
