Three Newest Updates to Business Central
Posted on: November 26, 2024 | By: Page Wildridge | Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
Microsoft recently announced their latest release to Dynamics Business Central, which includes tons of new features and innovations for your business to take advantage of. These updates come to all elements across Business Central, including sales, finance and supply chain, and more. In this blog, we will highlight the best new updates for your business and how to use them.

Add an item as a Shopify variant
The newest Shopify connector allows you to easily integrate the software with Microsoft Business Central. This will allow you to easily manage your products within the ERP. When your product has Shopify variants, you can now hit the button “Add Items as Shopify Variants.” After your initial item is added to the ERP, Business Central and Shopify both administer an addition of a “Default title variant.” Then, when you hit “add item,” the default variant is removed from both platforms and your selected item is added as a variant.
New Module for Managing Subscription Billing
This tool is useful when utilizing recurring revenue streams with subscription products within Business Central. Now, you can manage subscription contracts that charge recurrently all within one place. Within the module, Microsoft has uploaded templates that help to standardize parameters and to stay on the recurring schedule. You can also find deferral integration, automated billing, usage-based billing, and more.
Replenish Items for Projects
You can create full purchase orders based on your existing projects or to start a new one. On the page “Project Card,” you can hit “Create Purchase Order,” and Business Central will generate a purchase order based off past quantities along with supply and demand information. After this information is generated, you can edit and review the order before sending it to vendors.
