New Features within Business Central to Start Using Today
Posted on: November 4, 2025 | By: Page Wildridge | Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
Microsoft’s release wave 2 of 2025 brings tons of new improvements to Business Central. This includes AI enhancements, along with brand new features. In this blog, we will cover the newest features to help you get the most out of the ERP.

Analysis Assist with Copilot
In this release, Microsoft is expanding the built-in AI capabilities of Business Central by adding more advanced agents and deeper integration with natural language capabilities. For example, Copilot-based “Analysis Assist” can help users ask business questions in natural language and automatically receive insights. Prompts such as “show me vendors by location,” and “show me top customers by revenue,” will pull up the associated data instantly. Additionally, you can ask the Copilot to include specific information from tables when pulling up and arranging the information you want.
Newest E-Documents
Microsoft introduced e-shipments and e-transfer shipments within the e-documents framework. This enhancement allows businesses to generate, send, and track electronic versions of delivery notes or bills directly from Business Central. This helps streamlining logistics and ensures compliance with emerging global regulations. By digitizing these traditional paper-based documents, companies can reduce manual errors, speed up delivery verification, and maintain transparent, audit-ready records.
Summarize with Copilot
Copilot can now automatically generate clear, role-based summaries for any record- such as customer cards or accounts. The AI tool will generate a summary of key information like outstanding balances, overdue payments, and recent activity. With the release, summary generation is 50% faster, and adapts to applied filters for more contextualized insights. Users can directly interact with the summaries, meaning that if you click on a data point that Copilot has highlighted, you will be automatically redirected to the corresponding field within the page. For more insights, click on “Show more,” and Copilot will pull up more information on the summary. You can also interact with the summary, and ask it questions and Copilot will give you suggestions.
