Microsoft CRM Email Marketing Options

We seem to be getting a ton of questions lately about email marketing options and web tracking options for Microsoft CRM. Just so everyone understands you can send bulk emails through Microsoft CRM, but you need an add-on solution to be able to track such things as click-throughs, open rates, bounces, etc.
There are four major add-on products that close the loop between marketing and sales and Microsoft CRM, often times referred to as Email & Marketing Automation for CRM. Central components across all of these solutions include: tight CRM integration, email tracking, tracking of web site visits, lead scoring and forms and surveys. Some are adding social networking tracking as well. The four major players are:
- Click Dimensions
- Exact Target
All of these solutions are different from products like Constant Contact and MailChimp in that they are tightly integrated with Microsoft CRM. Constant Contact and MailChimp only offer integration via another 3rd party solution. However, the cost of these solutions tends to be less than the four mentioned above.
