Fall 2025 QAD Midwest User Group Conference: Key Takeaways for QAD Clients
Posted on: October 30, 2025 | By: Alexa Leitner | QAD Business Process, QAD Practice News
The QAD Midwest User Group recently held its annual Fall Conference in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The keynote speaker was QAD’s CEO Sanjay Brahmawar who joined in March of this year. For those unable to attend, the event provided meaningful insights into QAD’s current direction.
Since the last Spring Conference in Cleveland Ohio, QAD has seen significant executive and strategic shifts. It replaced virtually its entire Executive Management Team as well as halted its originally announced O3 version. Concurrently, QAD’s CEO met with 75 clients to get direct feedback from the community. These inputs helped build QAD’s roadmap to address the clients real pain.
Tone of the Keynote: Accountability and Commitment
Similar to the Spring Midwest User Group Conference, QAD acknowledged their prior missteps and Sanjay took the conference through what he has been doing to shore up both the software and its support. Specifically, Sanjay said, “I cannot change the past but I can shape the future.” He shared that customer visits to hear directly from them to be sure he understood what the QAD customer base is asking for. As a result of these visits, QAD is releasing a new version of Adaptive next month that will feature native Agentic AI capabilities as well as new advanced scheduling capabilities that will have General Availability November 7th of this year. At the conclusion of his session, Sanjay stated he wanted to earn the right to continue being their ERP Partner.
Who Was There: A Loyal and now Cautiously Optimistic User Base
The conference brought together a contingent of mostly long-time QAD customers—many with over 20 years of experience on the platform. The prevailing tone was one of cautious optimism. Virtually everyone agreed that they have not only experienced a marked improvement in QAD’s responsiveness, but also a significant reduction in QAD’s aggressive sales tactics. While not quite out of the woods yet, there is real belief that the new QAD Leadership can execute on the vision it has presented.
What This Means for You
If you were unable to attend, the key message is this. QAD’s long-term direction is coming into focus. The key will be how stable the new Adaptive Version with its AI capabilities is at General Release. If QAD is able to execute, clients will have a robust ERP to support its business. We will know more after the QAD Champions Conference and will provide an update then.
