Automatically Post Approved Workflows in Dynamics GP
Posted on: February 27, 2022 | By: Jim Bertler | Microsoft Dynamics GP
Dynamics GP came out with a series of new features and updates in October 2021 to make the software more efficient and effective for businesses. These new features provide remedies for things users have previously expressed a need for in order to make GP more functional.
Users now have the option to automatically post Approved Workflows from the General Ledger Batches, Payables Batches, Receivables Batches, and Management Batches. This means that if users have this option activated, when a transaction is Final Approved, it will be automatically posted.
Users can find this new option in the Workflow Maintenance window. To get to this window, you must start at the GP menu, and select tools. Then, you click on Setup. Within Setup, you will click on Company, then Workflow, and finally Workflow Maintenance.
Once you have navigated here, you can find the new option labeled “Automatically post when workflow complete.” You can turn this option on and specify which batch it applies to.
