Acumatica’s 2024 Release Wave 2

Acumatica 2023 R2 was released, this update introduces new features to enhance the usability and functionality of Acumatica. There are three major themes of the update’s capabilities:

Reimagining Business with Intelligent Technology:

Acumatica’s business management solution helps organizations centralize technology and provides them with the intelligence to meet their challenges. The technology new update will make mobile work more productive with containers that show only relevant tabs on mobile devices, custom fields to link to external sites, creating custom workflows for new order types, and automatically mapping bank fields to Acumatica. The new AI will improve Acumatica’s document recognition capabilities and expedite data entry using intelligent text completion.

Drive Growth with Applications and Unified Finance and CRM:

Acumatica’s applications enable relationships between sales, finance, fulfillment, and support. The embedded CRM shows customer data throughout organizations, helping employees to provide excellent customer service. The R2 update will streamline the payment process by easily allowing for credit card and ACH payments, provide compliance with 1099/T5018 reporting and detailed overtime calculations which will allow employees to see earnings on jobs with the paystub improvements. In the long term, R2 will boost sales by automatically assigning leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities to sales reps by territory. Additionally, it will increase customer satisfaction by streamlining returns processing, and instantly adding contacts, leads, opportunities, and orders via the Gmail add-on.

Win in Markets with Tailored Industry Capabilities:

Today’s marketplace requires specificity for each industry. The smart industry editions are tailored to industry-specific scenarios and KPIs to make customers more competitive. R2 includes capabilities that review estimated margin amount calculations during order creation for orders and individual line items. It also automates mass stock allocation while still having manual overrides. Additionally, the update will optionally exclude automatic line discounts and connect Acumatica to Amazon’s Seller Central marketplace, and Shopify’s new B2B eCommerce platform.

The update will benefit manufacturers by improving cost control and the option to lock production status. Additionally, the update includes DeviceHub that includes automation schedules and predefined printer settings. Furthermore, the update also has capabilities that enable deactivating cost codes that are out of use but can still be edited, as well as editing retainage information in subcontracts and purchase orders linked to change orders, and improve visibility with capabilities to review outstanding AR aging documents and retainage.
