Acumatica 2019 is Released!

Logan Consulting, supporting Acumatica in Chicago, is proud to announce the release of Acumatica 2019. Acumatica continues to deliver strong functionality and excellent usability. Acumatica was recently ranked #1 in usability by a Nucleus Research report and 2019 continues to provide improvements.
Beyond usability Acumatica has continued to develop strong functionality. Improvements have been made throughout the solution including in financials, project accounting, inventory, field services and more. Here are a few of the highlights
Financials
In the financial area you can now have different start periods for companies in the same tenant. This will allow you to speed implementation and more easily share common customers, vendors and items.
Warehousing and Inventory
Acumatica 2019 has introduced simple warehouse management functionality and more importantly bar coding functionality built directly into the solution without a 3rd party tool. In fact, you can now use a standard mobile device (phone, tablet) and use that device to process transactions. An easy to use interface for such things as stock transfers, incoming receipts and shipments is provided.
Project Accounting
In the project accounting arena users can now enter project transactions in different currencies and maintain projects in both the base currency and a project currency. One of my favorite features as an Acumatica Chicago resource is the project budgets by period. Projects can now be budgeted by fiscal period (as well as by phase). This allows for excellent reporting and detail for analyzing projects and budgets.
Field Service
Calendar user boards have been introduced for field service. This allows for drag and drop scheduling of resources in the field. You can also change the view of your board by time period, resource and skill required.
