3 New Features in Business Central That Will Improve Your Business
Posted on: April 15, 2025 | By: Page Wildridge | Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
Microsoft’s latest release is all about improving user experience and helping your business boost productivity. Release Wave 1 comes full of new and developed features that your business can take advantage of now. In this blog, we will cover three of the best new updates that you need to know about.

Summarize Tool
Microsoft is constantly improving upon their ERP to provide users with the best platform to fit their growing needs. As AI develops, Microsoft has embedded these updates into Business Central. For example, the new “summary” feature breaks down the most important information on different user pages, while also pulling information from other related ones. Each insight has a corresponding hyperlink to direct you to the record the summary is created from. If you want to learn more about the summary, click “Show more,” and Copilot will pull more information for you and tell you how to take action.
Integrate Field Service with Service Management
Business Central can now be directly integrated with Dynamics 365 Field Service, allowing users to easily manage service tasks and financial transactions. Once you change “Integration Type” to Service or Both, you will be able to integrate several data types. This includes service order types, documents, lines, and more. This helps you check inventory availability within the ERP to track the stock of your products across your warehouses. This update benefits management, finance teams, and technicians to help your business operations run smoothly.
Power BI Reports
Now, you can utilize Power BI for in depth data insights about your subscription billing. While the application is useful for all data analysis, the latest improvement ensures your subscription billing can generate well designed reports. You can gain valuable insights into the success of your sales and marketing efforts by staying on top of your customer, item and salesperson information. Reports include revenue analysis, total contract value, subscription overview, and more.
