Copilot summaries have revolutionized how users interact with data in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (D365) by providing quick, customized overviews tailored to their job functions. Many forms allow users to see a snapshot of information relevant to the record, making decision making just a bit easier. Here’s what you need to know:

1. Sales Order Summaries

  • The Sales order details page now includes a “Summary by Copilot” FastTab which is enabled by default.
  • This FastTab offers an overview of the selected sales order’s status, including partially or fully confirmed, shipped, and invoiced lines.
  • Additionally, it highlights insights such as overdue or nearly overdue lines.
  • Copilot ensures that each summary is highly relevant and focused based on user intent and role.

2. Purchase Order Summaries

  • The Purchase order details page also now includes a “Summary by Copilot” FastTab similar to that on the Sales order page.
  • This FastTab offers an overview of the selected PO’s status, including partially or fully confirmed, received, and invoiced lines.

3. Customer & Vendor Summaries

  •  For AR & AP teams, Copilot presents essential financial details about customers and vendors.
  • These summaries streamline insights related to active contracts, sales and purchase orders, late deliveries or shipments, and overdue payments.

Released Products & More

While the Copilot summaries mentioned above are game-changers, they’re not the only ones. Copilot continues to evolve, offering context-aware insights across various modules. For example:

  • Released Products
    • Copilot summaries can provide a snapshot into the Inventory availability for a product.
    • Learn basic sales or sourcing information with Purchase and Sales summaries

  • Workflows
    • Get a synopsis of how a workflow performed at the top of the Workflow History form.

  • Vendor & Customers
    • Get the rundown and insights on Vendor and Customer accounts without having to dig into the details.
    •  Summaries are concise and include high level balance and payment statistics.

Note that Copilot is an AI which is a work in progress, so the content should be reviewed by human eyes before being considered or acted upon.

In summary (pun intended), Copilot simplifies complex data, aids efficient decision-making, and facilitates quicker action. Whether you’re managing sales orders, vendors, or work orders, Copilot has your back!
