The Client

Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) is a nonprofit organization that provides educational programs to television stations across North America. PBS was established in 1969 and is currently headquartered in Arlington, Virginia where they service over 350 member stations.

The Opportunity

Prior to implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Supply Chain Management, PBS was running Microsoft AX 2012. PBS decided that they would like to upgrade to the newer version of D365 and begin utilizing more available functionality.

The Solution

Logan Consulting and PBS developed a strong partnership throughout the implementation project that kicked-off with a scoping and planning phase in October of 2022. After gathering all requirements and identifying a detailed scope of work and project plan, PBS and Logan consulting immediately kicked off the next phases of the implementation project. The project ultimately resulted in 2 of PBS’ legal entities, PBS and PBS Foundation, going live with Dynamics 365 for Supply Chain Management in November of 2023.

The basic components of the implementation consisted of the following:

· Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Supply Chain Management for all business processes

· Treasury Automation Suite for cash management and payment automation

· AP EFT, Bank Reconciliation, Lockbox, and Positive Pay

· Workday integration

· Alliant integration

· Power Platform

· Office 365

By implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Supply Chain Management, PBS was able to recognize the following results and benefits:
