MWUG Spring Virtual Conference
Welcome QAD Users!
MWUG – the QAD Midwest User Group – will host its Spring meeting on April 19-21 and will be joined by the Southeast User Group (SEUG) and the West Coast User Group (WECUG). The Spring conference will once again be hosted virtually. The conference will feature concurrent track sessions, a welcome keynote address, a virtual vendor fair, and a variety of tools and features to allow attendees to interact and network.
Logan Consulting will lead three sessions at the event and will be displaying a “booth” at the virtual vendor fair. We hope to see you there!

Item Replacement, Cross-Sell, and Up-Sell in QAD

There is new functionality added to new releases of QAD that often fly under the radar such that clients aren’t able to exploit the potential they offer to the business. An example of this is the Item Replacement, Cross-Sell and Up-Sell functionality. These features can help boost your revenue by empowering order entry personnel to offer their customers premium or related products based on their order, and also improve customer satisfaction.

QAD Implementation Case Study: PPG Aerospace Breaks Speed Record in ERP Conversion During Pandemic

PPG is a longtime QAD customer who recently worked with Logan Consulting to complete a successful implementation of QAD Enterprise Edition (EE) at newly acquired Aerospace operations in Arlington and Grand Prairie, Texas. The project was designed to support every function of this plant, including order management, shipping, purchasing, manufacturing, inventory and financials. In this presentation we provide attendees with an overview of the project including the approach taken, key business process design decisions, internal resource participation, and the tangible and intangible benefits. We also discuss some of the unique challenges posed by the pandemic and the solutions deployed to overcome limited on-site presence.

Supplier Side EDI Success Story – How Did They Do That?

Yanfeng Global Automotive Interiors (YFAI) is a long-time QAD Enterprise Edition (EE) user and during a rollout of a global QAD footprint across all locations decided it wanted to find 2 consulting resources to support Supplier Side EDI on a global basis. This presentation will help participants learn about a new approach to global EDI support, which was developed reactively due to limited internal resource availability and the need to increase support for plant level EDI users. The creation of an “EDI Support Desk” became a single contact point for all supplier side EDI requests, which were then documented, prioritized, and resolved as quickly as possible. YFAI successfully onboarded hundreds of new trading partners during this time, while concurrently supporting any issues that arose for all existing trading partners. The EDI Managers at YFAI and Logan Consulting will provide an overview of the drivers for the EDI support model, the approach taken, the unanticipated challenges that arose, and the results.
