Microsoft D365 has released their plan for 2019 release wave 2. Wave 2 brings new updates and innovations to enhance your software and increase functionality. Beginning in October 2019, Microsoft will open the 2019 release wave 2 to all users. Microsoft D365 has continued to develop CRM and included hundreds of new capabilities across applications such as Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Business Central.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales

Dynamics 365 Sales focuses on customer engagement with the intent of maximizing productivity. In the 2019 release wave 2, the improvements are focused on reliability and performance. In an effort to help improve sellers focus on customer relationships as well as simple user interface, selling enhancements, and sales productivity. There are many enhancements, but here are two that we liked.

Customization of Opportunity Close dialog box

As requested by Microsoft D365 users, Microsoft has supported customizations of the Opportunity Close dialog box. Businesses that are closing an opportunity can now understand why an opportunity was won or lost through strategic sales initiatives. They can also compare their competitors’ successes and losses. This allows D365 sales users to see what services or products are performing optimally and form future strategies.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator

LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Dynamics 365 Sales has been integrated to support engagement. Within the 2019 release wave 2, Microsoft users will now have access to a new LinkedIn widget, which will allow users to compose InMails by LinkedIn through Dynamics 365 Sales. LinkedIn profile pictures and profile information will also be visible for contacts, opportunities, leads, and account entities.
