Microsoft Dynamics GP 2012 Update from Convergence

We are in Houston this week for the annual Microsoft Convergence conference. There is a ton of information about all of the Dynamics ERP and CRM solutions, but I wanted to provide the latest information on the upcoming release of Dynamics GP 2012.
The first big piece of news is that it will be called Dynamics GP 2013! Don’t worry though Microsoft has assured us it will be released in 4th quarter of 2012.
The web client is of course the most exciting part of the upcoming release and Microsoft did show a sneak peak of the web client. The home page will be far more interactive and allows users to drag and drop various metrics around the home page. You will be able to drag and drop major areas such as Reports and Tasks around the home page as well.
The Word Template feature of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2012 (sorry GP 2013) will be enhanced as well. All reports will be available via the Word template feature.
Lastly, Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 will be Azure enabled and Microsoft will offer hosting of Dynamics GP 2012. It will not be as simple as signing up online like Microsoft CRM 2011 Online, but it will be able to be hosted by Microsoft. I will provide more details on this as they become available.
