Functional QAD Training Syllabus — Spring 2017

Functional QAD Training by Logan Consulting: 

When: Tuesday, March 21st, 1:30 - 5:00 pm

Wednesday, March 22nd, 8:00 - 3:00 pm

Where: The Henry Hotel in Dearborn, MI

Training Investment: 1 for $395.00, 2 for $600.00, each additional - $300.00.

Included: Over 10 hours of training, handouts, snacks, beverages and 2 meals.

Special Notes: Class size is limited to 25.

End Game: The goal of the training is to develop an understanding of the fundamental business concepts related to manufacturing, how these concepts relate to ERP and specifically how they are handled within QAD Enterprise Applications. The sessions will first focus on general business processes (e.g. Master Scheduling) to ensure all participants understand the value they provide to the business and best practices for delivering such processes. The training will then drill into detailed concepts and the tools available in ERP/QAD to support the process.

Logan Consulting Speaker Sessions Schedule

Tuesday, March 21st - 8:30 - 9:30 AM 

Item Substitution, Cross-Sell and Up-sell Functionality

Speaker: Andrew Hall, Principal

This session will focus on introducing the Item Replacement, Cross-Sell and Up-Sell functionality that was introduced in EE. Each option will be described in detail, including relative scenarios and use cases for each.

Processing Intercompany Orders in Enterprise Edition (EE)

Speaker: Brian Clark, Principal, Logan Consulting

This session will focus on processing intercompany orders for those clients that would benefit from a true buy/sell relationship between their QAD facilities. The session will focus on the utilization of Release Management eCommerce and automation opportunities in EE Financials to process orders from forecast to intercompany payment.

Demonstration - QXtend Excelerator

Speaker: James Blakenship, Principal 

This session will demonstrate how to use QAD's Qxtend Excelerator tool. The Excelerator tool allows users to query data from the QAD application, import the data into Microsoft Excel, make changes, and post the changes back to QAD. This session will provide attendees with a live demonstration in which we will do some basic configuration of Qxtend, build an Excelerator template, query data, load data and build Qxtend Business Objects to support Excelerator. While this session will have a technical focus, functional users will also gain insight on how Excelerator may be used in their environments.
