I was on a recent call with Microsoft learning about the next release of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010. Yes, that will be the official name of the release. It is scheduled for May of 2010, but current customers should receive it before that time. Here are some of the highlights that were discussed on the call. We will provide more information as it becomes available about the latest release of Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains).

1. The Action Panes will allow you to connect to multiple data sources for enhanced reporting.
2. Template Forms from Word will be available for output from GP. (Don't worry the Report and Crystal options are still available so you won't have to redo all of your current forms)
3. There will be several "out-of-the-box" workflow rules, including employee onboarding and employee termination.
4. Better dashboards will be available and they will include drilldown functionality.

As I said we will provide more information as it is available.
