The golf course has long been a haven for business professionals. Although golfing is a leisurely sport for many, business opportunities arise on the golf course all the time. Dating back to the time of golf’s origin in Scotland, business men and women alike have treated golf as more than just a game. Within the business world, your time on the course can make or break client relationships.  Behave graciously!  Choosing a course that is appropriately challenging, well-kept, and scenic makes all the difference for your experience on the green.  Check out these 5 golf destinations that’ll get you eager to schedule your tee time!

Hualalai Golf Course

This Four Seasons Resort course is world-class. The Hualalai Course was the first of the Hawaii Islands to adopt the Jack Nicklaus signature design. Aside from Nicklaus’s success on the course for a duration of 18 major championships, he later teamed up with architect, Pete Dye, to design some of the most glamorous greens in the world. Hualalai’s 7,100-yard layout is filled with bright fairways contoured against black lava. You’ll never be at a loss for views with the ocean as your backdrop.

Pebble Beach Golf Links

Pebble Beach Golf Links is known for its rugged coastline, bay views, and pricey rounds. This 5-time host of the U.S. Open Championship makes its 6th debut as host in 2019. This course was ranked the greatest public golf in America by Gold Digest for 13 consecutive years. If you’re looking to impress clients, this is your go-to destination!

Paiute

This beautiful wasteland is just 25 minutes’ northwest to the famed Las Vegas strip, yet this course feels isolated and serene. Paiute is truly an “oasis in the desert”. Previously mentioned hall of fame architect, Pete Dye, touches the Nevada dessert with his unique and prestigious course design. Three different courses (snow, sun, and wolf) make up the ultimate trifecta for golfers. Whether you choose the original course, the snow, or go with the longest and most challenging course, the wolf, your experience will surely be like no other.

The Greenbrier

Home to the Greenbrier Classic, you won’t want to miss out on this historic course in West Virginia. The Greenbrier offers five different courses, the oldest being The Old White TPC. This was the first 18-hole course at The Greenbrier named for the Old White Hotel which stood on the grounds from 1858 through 1922. Due to recent flooding in 2016, the course was closed and reopened this month after restoration for the 2017 Greenbrier Classic.

The St Andrews Golf Club

Let’s venture out of the States to the “Home of Golf” in Fife, Scotland! St Andrews is one of the most archaic in the world dating back to the 15th century. The Old Course hosts the Open Championship, the oldest major championship, every five years. Despite this course’s elite status, it remains public. Golf fanatics worldwide recognize the significance St Andrews has had on history.  One of our owners once “walked on” to this course (no reservation) and proceeded to lose about thirty golf balls to the gale winds and the fescue grass! Not an easy course, but what an experience!
