Thanks to everyone for your efforts, passion and contributions to making Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 R2 a great success!

Dynamics GP Improvements

The first feature that this article will cover deals with linking credit card invoices to their original invoices. To accomplish this, a user must update the transaction description on the credit card vendor invoice with the payment number. This allows for the invoice to easily track back to the originating voucher. Then, a user must modify the Reconcile to GL for payables to link the credit card payment and credit card vendor invoice to GL entries in the Matched Transactions section of the reconciliation report.

Another improvement made to GP 2016 R2 deals with the distribution section of GL, payables, and receivables windows. The GL Transaction Entry and Journal Entry Inquiry windows will default the scrolling window expanded or collapsed based on the previous display state. This also applies to Sales and Payables Transaction Entry windows and Payables and Receivables Inquiry windows. For example, if you exited the GL Transaction Entry window with the distribution line expanded, it will remain expanded when you open the window next. This automatic setting is set per user per form.
